Our 26th annual SOS/ODSC Charity Golf Tournament was again held at the Valley at Eastport Golf Club in Little River.
Seventy two golfers took part on a beautiful day for golf.  Everyone enjoyed meeting and greeting old and new friends.
Golfers started arriving about 7:30.   They were greeted by the ladies and presented goody bags as they were checked in.
Liquid refreshments along with biscuits and donuts were available for everyone.
Before hitting the links Geoffrey Girling welcomed the golfers and explained the rules of play.

New this year we had several shag clubs compete in the ACSC Club Championship.  And the winner is:
Richmond Shag Club, Best Golfers in the ACSC
Their $400 winnings were donated to the Jr. SOS

The following golfers won cash prizes:
Closest to the Pin: Jack Dearhart and Curtis Edmondson
Closest to the Center Line: Lisa Cox

Putting contest:  Ralph Oliva

1st place team: Sonny Tomberlin, Kenny Elkins Marcia Faris & Vivian Orrell
2nd place team: Marty Bonnett, Harald Jacobs, Jim sullivan &  Ron Romanosky
3rd place team : Lloyd Johnson, Jim Rozier, Curtis Edmondson & Jim Chaney
last place team : Jeff Onori, Joan Onori, Tom Dolce & Joan Dolce

We were once again blessed with beautiful weather and following their round all golfers enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch and social time as raffle ticket winners picked up their prizes.

Geoffrey Girling and Ken Meyer led this year’s tournament.  Karen and Rich Young were leaders in obtaining
hole sponsors and raffle prizes.
Many Club members participated in obtaining hole sponsors and raffle prizes as well as volunteering for certain duties on the day of the tournament.  Each one helped make this years golf tournament as success.  Without their help there would be no golf tournament. Our Club is fortunate to have each of these caring and participating members.
As always special thanks to each of them for their dedication and participation.
