Beginners I Shag Lessons
Beginner Shag Lessons (Basic I)
We will be starting our Beginner’s Shag Lessons again with two fantastic teachers, Darrell Gaither and Lori Setzer. Darrell is a DJ and has taught shag for over 25 years in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area.
Beginner Shag Lessons are FREE to ODSC members. These classes are not open to the public or guests. You must be a current member of the ODSC to attend.
Our Beginner Shag Lessons will begin on Wednesday, March 1 at 5:00 in the backroom of Fat Harold’s.

- Wednesday, March 22
- Wednesday, March 29
- Wednesday, April 5
This is a progressive class. What you learn in the first lesson will be used in the next lesson, etc.
Important Information:
Each lesson will start promptly at stated times. Please arrive early to check in and be ready to begin.
- Class starts promptly at 5:00 pm, so please come early to check in.
- Please wear your ODSC name tag.
- Class is free to all ODSC 2023 members.
- You do not need a partner.
- You will learn the basic, start, male turn, female turn and a beginner together step.
